Can I have Opus Plasma Skin Resurfacing treatment?
This therapy is created for a patient who is dissatisfied with their skin's condition and quality. Radiofrequency resurfacing procedures can help improve these minor flaws. In addition, radiofrequency skin resurfacing works well for people who have rough spots, scaly patches, or various other imperfections. This procedure might not be the best option for men or women who have active acne breakouts, autoimmune disorders, poor wound healing, or are undergoing active cancer or radiation treatment.
Skin Resurfacing Treatment Technique:
At your treatment, you will receive topical numbing cream to make you comfortable as the Opus handpiece glides over your skin targeting specific areas of concern. You will feel warmth during the treatment from the radiofrequency paired with the plasma energy. The Opus spurs new collagen production while getting rid of dead and damaged skin cells. The settings on the Opus are adjusted depending on the patient's complexion and treatment goals. After your treatment you will feel heat and your skin will have a sensation similar to sunburn for 24-48 hours followed by dryness and a "sandpaper" feel for 3-5 days. It is important to avoid exfoliating wash & retinol during the first 7 days following. It is also very important to moisturize and use SPF diligently following treatment. We will make recommendations for post op care!
