Strong and Natural-Looking

White fillings are made from a high-strength composite resin that can be easily color-matched to your natural tooth, making it nearly invisible to you and anyone else. Unlike silver and gold fillings, composite tooth-colored fillings actually bond to the tooth, which means they support the surrounding tooth structure, which helps prevent breakage and insulates the tooth from excessive temperature changes. You are much less likely to have a composite filling fall out, which is a common issue with metal fillings.

What Are the Benefits of Tooth-Colored Fillings?

Tooth-Colored Fillings

There is now new technology that allows you to replace old silver and gold fillings with a more natural-looking composite filling. Composite fillings are bonded to the tooth, and research has shown that they are about 90% as strong as healthy, natural tooth material. Other benefits: beautiful in appearance, completed in a single visit, no filling leaks, and lower chance of tooth cracking.

My family and I have been long time patients here. I have a daughter that suffers from a severe anxiety of needles. She needed some cavities addressed. Dr. Craig Ball and his team member were very supportive and handled it beautifully. So much so that the second appointment she showed no anxiety on the way and she as relaxed when she arrived. Autumn made the biggest difference. She was kind, patience and kindness. A pro in every way.

Dr. Gary Ball has been providing all of my dental care for over 40 years. He is the patriarch of a dental family. His son, Dr. Craig Ball, has also provided excellent care for many years now. I trust them implicitly to give me sound advice and treatment for a reasonable and fair price. Over the years their practice has grown but they've maintained a family approach. They don't just focus on my dental needs. They ask me how I'm doing in general and follow my many hobbies and interests. They know my strengths as well as my fears and failures. They approach each challenge with compassion and dignity. I've had almost a hundred cleanings, dozens of xrays, in-house CT scans, a few whitening treatments, and multiple fillings, crowns, and implants over the years. They maintain the latest imaging equipment and modern treatment methods. If you're looking for an improvement or a second opinion, give these folks a shout. I'm so proud of my dental health and I owe it to brushing with a good toothbrush, flouride toothpaste and treatments, and flossing twice a day. But most of all I owe it to the Ball Dentistry family practice.

It had been five years since I could afford a dentist, when I walked through the doors of this place. Dr. Craig and assistant Jaylen took such good care of me. I wasn't judged, I genuinely felt like they cared! With the amount of cavities I had, I ended up visiting many times over the last 6 months, and made sure I got Dr. Craig and Jaylen every single time! I just wrapped up my last visit for a cap and crown yesterday, and they did excellent work! It was my first root canal and I didn't have a single fear or anything! I highly recommend these two, especially Jaylen. She is efficient, funny, kind, gets the job done, and also feels like your best friend while doing so! I can't wait to go back to see her and Dr. Craig for my cleaning!!! 10/10 recommend this place!!!!

Nice office, friendly staff, laughing gas option. Had availability to schedule me in the next day and do all procedures at once instead of two separate visits. Much better experience overall than my previous dentist’s office. I’ll be returning!

I love Dr.Ball and his Staff. I have been receiving my dental treatment from them for a few years now. Everyone is professional and friendly. I even bring my oldest child here for her treatment. I appreciate that they do not try to do extra work that is not necessary. They ensure that we are comfortable during our dental procedures and give us aftercare instructions. This is by far the best dental practice that I have been to.

About Us
How are tooth-colored fillings different from traditional fillings?

Tooth-colored fillings from Ball Dentistry are made from a composite resin material that is designed to mimic the natural appearance of your teeth. Unlike traditional amalgam fillings, which have a noticeable silver appearance, tooth-colored fillings are made to match the shade of your natural teeth, making them almost invisible when you smile or talk. This aesthetic advantage has made them increasingly popular for patients who prefer a more natural look.

Are tooth-colored fillings as durable as metal fillings?

While amalgam (metal) fillings have been known for their longevity and strength, advancements in dental materials and technology have significantly improved the durability of tooth-colored fillings. For small to mid-sized cavities, tooth-colored fillings can last for many years with proper dental hygiene and regular check-ups.

Does insurance cover tooth-colored fillings?

Insurance coverage for tooth-colored fillings varies depending on the individual dental insurance plan and the specifics of the policy. A lot of times, insurance companies will pay for at least a portion of certain dental treatments. The team at Ball Dentistry will work with your insurance provider to find out how much is covered and the amount for which you are responsible.
